Way of the Wild and Wild Earth’s Children are offering the Colorado community an opportunity to enrich and deepen their skills of:
- Mentoring children to re-connect with nature
- Earth-based living skills
- Developing a spiritual relationship with the Earth
This 12 week program offers skills and application intensive plus field experience. You will be joining Mary and/or Simon during their programs to gain hands-on experience working with children.
This program is ideal for those looking to further their own connections with and skills working in nature and also those interested in inspiring children to re-connect with nature.
Mary Sweeney of Way Of The Wild and Simon Harrison of Wild Earth’s Children have allied to bring their 20 years of combined experience to offer this comprehensive nature skills and mentoring program to people who have a passion to connect others deeply with the natural world.
Earth-based Skills will include: Primitive fire, wild edibles, shelter, bird language, navigation, tracking, tools, water, awareness, baskets, hunting, pottery, archery, ceremony, awareness/scout skills and much more.
Mentoring skills will include: Re-connecting children to nature, Coyote Teaching, structuring programs, structuring nature experiences.
Apprentice Program Structure:
- 12 week program (94 hours total) April 15 – June 24
- Meet for 4.5 hours once a week for skills and mentoring training (54 hours instruction), Sundays 1-5:30pm
- 40 hours Field Time
- Culminating overnight experience
Apprentice Program Cost: $950 This program will not be offered at this price again! (Work trade available)
